The Amazon rainforest

The three waterfalls on the border of Canada and the USA create the highest flow rate on Earth. The largest vertical drop is over 50 meters. However, you mustn’t jump in – you will get killed or go to jail!

This is the largest tropical rainforest in the world – it covers 5.5 million km². It makes 20% of all oxygen we breathe. In the north, the Amazon, which is the second longest river, flows through it. It is the home for over 2 million different animal species.

Siberia is in the Asian part of Russia. It is one of the coldest places on Earth where people live. Most of it is always covered by ice and snow. Some of the strongest dogs are from here – the Siberian huskies.

This is a Brazilian island where people are not allowed to go. It has the highest number of poisonous snakes in the world. One of the world’s deadliest snakes lives here – the golden lancehead.

The caves in France are well-known for their Paleolithic drawings. They are among the oldest and largest in the world. Because people breathing and moving in the caves can damage them, you can’t go in and see the art.
